Buckham Fair is now in it’s 9th year and continues to grow successfully through the incredible help of all our Sponsors, Traders, Visitors and Volunteers. Every year, we receive numerous offers from members of the public, who are interested in helping with the event set up, the run of the event activities on the day, and event break-down afterwards. We are always thankful for so many wonderful individuals and organisations who work tirelessly to ensure that Buckham Fair runs smoothly, and is a great success for all involved. Over the years, the event has become ever more popular, which means that we’ve have to keep fine-tuning our own processes and organisation to adapt for the wonderful numbers of visitors and traders, while at the same time, ensure that we continue to serve our sponsors, supporters and charities to the best of our ability. As a result, and based on the feedback that we have received from our own advisors, we have implemented a few changes in the way that volunteering at Buckham Fair is managed.
- Centrally coordinated by Evelyne O’Hare: All volunteers who wish to be involved in Buckham Fair, will be coordinated, and report to, our Buckham Fair Volunteer Coordinator, Evelyne O’Hare and her team. This means that anyone who is not registered with Evelyne, will unfortunately not be able to assist with any parts of the running of Buckham Fair – either in the lead-up, during or after the event
- Volunteer duties allocated: Because there are numerous areas throughout the Buckham Fair event that requires coordinated volunteer work, and to ensure that all our volunteers have enough time for breaks, and a chance to enjoy the event themselves, duties as a volunteer will be allocated by Evelyne according to her planned schedule. This means that any volunteers who do not adhere to the schedule, will risk being removed and asked to stand-down.
Note: Not all volunteers will be required for the day of Buckham Fair, and we may only require your assistance in the lead up to the event, or the break down afterwards. Volunteer space is limited.
